Biodiesel booth hits Old Town Sunday
Steve Bash will bring his Biodiesel Info Booth to the River City Run on Sunday, June 5 in Old Town Sacramento.
The River City Run is a project of the Sierra Club Sacramento Group. It features both 5K and 10K events starting at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, and participants can either run or walk. Throughout the day until midnight, the event includes food and entertainment on Sacramento's beautiful riverfront.
The biodiesel booth will be located at Waterfront Park in Old Sacramento, along with other exhibitors. Bash offers the booth as a place to ask all your questions about biodiesel and vegetable oil fuels, and to start learn how to free yourself from petroleum! Books and videos will be for sale, along with free literature to take home. Samples and demos and friendly conversation will also be presented in abundance so you can see and feel what the biofuel movement is all about!
In addition to the biodiesel booth, many exhibitors will also be on hand to offer information to the public. You can also bring your old batteries, cell phones and printer ink cartridges to the event for recycling. Entertainment will include Sacramento City College World Music Ensemble, the Kennelly School of Irish Dance, and the Jungle Jam African Drumline. The group "Sacramento" will be rocking out the course, which follows both the Sacramento and American rivers.
Waterfront Park is located in Old Sacramento, just west of downtown and north of the I Street Bridge. Proceeds from the River City Run support the coordination of local Earth Day celebrations, sustainable living projects, and environmental education in Sacramento.
See you there!
