Biodiesel booth in Placerville Saturday

Steve Bash will bring his biodiesel info booth to the El Dorado County Earth Day Celebration in Placerville on Saturday, April 23. He'll be able to answer questions about biodiesel, vegetable oil fuels, and how to free yourself from petroleum dependency.

The free event is at the El Dorado County Library, 345 Fairline, Placerville, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will also feature live music and poetry, food, llamas, raptors, and face painting. For more information, call (530) 620-4364.

He'll also have free literature, and books and videos available for purchase. Among them will be copies of "The End of Suburbia," the ground-breaking film about oil depletion and the collapse of the American dream.

The booth will migrate to the Whole Earth Festival May 6-8 at UC Davis. More on that later.
